Hair Care Guide/Instructions
HAIR EXTENSIONS MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL TYPES
Introduction
Hair extensions are a luxury and fashion accessory. Our hair extensions are made with 100% real hair. Therefore, it is important to take care of them as if they were your own.
Protect your investment with the guidelines about extension hair care noted in this care hair extensions list.
With that being said, it is highly recommended to use Golden Lush Extensions unique hair tools/hair care products designed to safely, secure the removal/installation of the extensions.
Tape-ins
Handling Tips:
1. Discontinue Use of Hair Oils First
2. Do not use products that contain sulfur or glycerin, silicone, etc.., such as dandruff shampoos.
3. Avoid Brushing Wet Extensions
4. Avoid sleeping with wet hair.
5. Be wary of overbrushing and over washing.
6. Follow proper brushing technique, from the ends up to your scalp.
7. Use as little heat as possible on your hair extensions; air drying is best. If you must use flat irons and blow dryers, invest in the gentler ionic ones, and stay away from the extension bonds when applying heat.
8. Use a heat protectant.
Shower Instructions:
1. Do not shampoo your hair for 48 hours after installation. This gives enough time for the tape bonds to settle.
2. Always use high-quality sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners. Lost on what to buy? Shop here for our selection of shampoos, conditioners, and hair treatments. The use of sulfates in shampoo can deteriorate and cause the glue to break down and ultimately detach from your hair.
3. Shampoo roots only
4. Avoid applying conditioner to where the tape sits on your hair. The conditioner can cause slippage or weaken bonds.
5. After showering, it is generally recommended to dry the tape with a blow dryer.
6. Avoid sleeping with wet hair
7. Prior to sleeping, pulling your hair back into a soft ponytail can avoid tangling while sleeping.
Should your hair extensions become dry and damaged, treat your hair with a hair treatment once to twice a week with any Intense Hydrator, Leave-in moisturizer/conditioner and follow instructions.
